liffey,

Read some earlier posts about Europe, or other posts located throughout the forum discussing the illegality of live ATC feeds w/ areas of Europe, ESPECIALLY those flowing from the UK.  Dave has already discussed this issue about Heathrow in the same respect.

Dave, I was describing a 1/2 wave dipole antenna.  I also forgot to mention it works best when mounted vertically.   I think I'm gonna try building a full wave loop next to see how it stacks up.

oh...sorry..thanks for pointing it out...if i can get a decent scanner and aerial i'd be happy to provide a live feed for dublin, shannon and belfast(thought belfast being part of the uk it may be illegal). I'm 100% positive that it is not illegal to use atc scanners in ireland. had it confirmed by an air corp atc controller.

yeah, I agree on the Pacific traffic.  That'd be really interesting to get one from Honolulu Int'l b/c you would probably get their traffic along with all the traffic out of Hickam AFB right next door.

Yes, we'd love to hear them too but the best information we have says it is illegal.

See:
http://www.strongsignals.net/access/content/laws.html

for more info, though some of that information may be dated and/or inaccurate.

Copenhagen Kastrup Airport would be a great feed, because if you go to the Airport's official website, they have a link to a live webcam aimed at the ramp.  Would be nice to listen and watch.

Dave keep up the great work!  Excellent site!!!!!!!

How about KCMI Champaign, IL.  It's a nice class C aiport with training from the University of Illinois.  I'd try hosting, except that the place where I'm living has an extremely bad RF environment and my receiver is deaf on the airband.

Oh yes!  The AMS feed is amazing!  That guy, Dedemon, has the entire airport ATC covered from clearance delivery to enroute, and all the web cams at Schiphol give you the feeling of almost being there and listening.

I would think the Scandinavian laws are similar and that if Norway has the Trondheim feed, Danish laws would permit Copenhagen Kastrup.  Lets hope someone in CPH could provide it soon.   Cheesy

The Amsterdam feed is under "Other ATC Links" in the menu on the left column of this site's main page...url is http://www.atcbox.com/ .  You will need to register to listen to the feeds.  Not sure about the others mentioned.

I do know someone that lives near IAD also near ZDC, so I could ask him if he could possible run a feed. Dave and I are gonna be testing a FLL/ MIA feed for about 2 weeks around christmas time, keep on the lookout Smiley

MIA would be fantastic!  I remember around 1998 & 99 it was up by another server and there was nonstop action with lots of variety of carriers and accents.

Keep up the great work Dave and PHL App.  smiley
