What Does This Mean ? ? ?
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:30:27 AM »
I was checking the FAA Airport Status link here on  Live ATC.net  and came upon the following for Cleveland -

There is no explanation in the glossary so am asking here.

Thanks for your assistance.

Due to COA REQUEST DUE TO GATE ISSUES

Essentially, Continental Airlines (COA) is requesting a ground stop for their aircraft bound to Cleveland due to a lack of gates.  You see this often with COA and BTA (Continental Express) for some reason.

I have also seen this with Pinnacle Airlines (Flagship) in Minneapolis, and American Eagle (Eagle Flight) at Chicago O'Hare. Its not that uncommon.
