List of FAA ATC facilities
« on: November 28, 2005, 06:38:08 PM »
I am working on tagging all the Center's, TRACON'S that are seperate from towers, and FAA controlled towers on Google Earth. I have all the Centers mapped out and some TRACONs and major towers that I know are controlled by FAA controllers.

I was wondering if someone would happen to have a list of all FAA controlled towers (non-contracted). I've searched Google for a list, but can't find anything that specific. I have a pretty good idea of which ones would be contract and which wouldn't, but I don't know for all of them. I also think I'm probably missing some of the busier GA airports that are FAA controlled.

Also, I'm unable to find the street address of some TRACONs, and I don't know which all are combined with towers and which are seperate besides the obviously large TRACONs. Any help would be appreciated!

Matt

Matt, I was looking at facilities on Google Earth tonight. I could help you locate some of those facilites without a listed address. Unfortunately, I really need some sleep. Going on 3 hours of sleep last night. So you can add me to MSN/ AIM and we could work on it tomorrow it you want.

Let's turn this around for a bit.. which Towers/TRACONS/Centers do you have so far? Just so we don't overlap and give you what you already have.

Actually I decided to scratch adding tags for towers.  It's too cluttered and they're easy to find anyway.  I'd rather just find facilities that are away from airports including TRACONs that aren't at the base of towers.

I have all the centers besides Jacksonville, and that's only because the photo quality for that area is so low that I can't make it out.  TRACONs I have are Houston, Omaha, Phoenix, Atlanta, Chicago, Potomac, Denver, SoCal, NorCal, and New York.  Half of the problem is not knowing for sure which TRACONs are seperate and which are in the base of towers, though I have a decent idea on most of them.

I have the address for Seattle but when I plug it in, it's not there.  Therefore I'm guessing it's just an old picture, as that facility is fairly new.  Ones I know are seperate that I haven't found include Dallas and Boston Consolidated, though I'm sure there are more.

I appreciate any help.

Matt

Nice list..

Add L30 (LAS) Tracon to your list. It is combined at LAS Tower. You can search for the Clark County Dept. of Aviation for the address there, or even 'Las vegas Tracon' and get the address.

R90 (Omaha) TRACON is located at Offutt AFB in Bellevue. I've been there (on base, not in it) more times than I can remember. Norcal/Socal you have. OKC Tracon is combined at Will Rogers. Sioux City Tracon is combined at KSUX.

I have the OMA and OKC addresses somewhere in my bookmarks. I'll grab those out for you.

Here's one for you..

Las Vegas Tracon: 699 Wright Brothers Lane. Las Vegas, Nevada 89119

my bookmarks were outdated. However, I was able to find http://flighttraining.aopa.org/members/flight_bag/pdfs/atc.pdf. That should at least give you the numbers to those facilities. From that, you could get the addresses you're looking for.

I can help you with the location of a few places. You said all facilities not at a tower. I assume that you are talking about staffed facilities. The F.A.A. has unmanned facilities scattered everywhere!

The TRACON (T75) for St. Louis is in Weldon Springs, Missouri (Research Park). The Atlanta TRACON (A80) is 784 Highways 74S, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.

Reno TRACON:

RENO ATCT/TRACON

1900 NATIONAL GUARD WAY

RENO, NV 89502

this one is manned, not at KRNO. Controls everything between Fallon, Reno Int'l, Reno Stead, Tahoe, and Truckee. Quite possibly, Hawthorne as well.

Hey all,

After getting the last couple provided it looks like I got all the centers and facilities that aren't at towers, which is what I decided to go with.  Thanks for the help!
