Which approach feed for KJFK Lendy-STARs?
« on: July 30, 2008, 11:05:36 AM »
HOi,

could you give me the right ATC-approach-feed for Lendy-approaches (STARS) into KJFK:

Is this...

a) ROBER (125.70)

or

b) CAMRN (127.40)

?

Thanks very much! :-)

CAMRN handles the LENDY5 arrivals, which proceed inbound from the northwest.

Rober(125.7) really late at night and during most of the morning hours(non peak periods) in place of 127.4. Lets not forget those times of the day as well.

It all depends on the runway in use. If it's 4's or 13's, Lendy is generally going to switch you to 125.7 but if it's 22's or 31's, then you'll get 127.4. Of course, on the midnight shifts, it is all combined at 125.7 & that's all you should listen to because it's also the departure frequency. Your's truly will be working it starting tomorrow night.

Glencar, I think I will change my flight then that night and leave the next day.

Just kidding.

Like he said, Lendy can be combined with either Rober or Camrn depending on the runway.  It has even been combined with Departures on SWAP nights or during periods of high traffic with little staffing.  It can also be decombined and opened by iteself.

I was playing some audiotape of you before. It seems to me that we sound way too similar! You have to get your own patter down.
