Hello,
I'm a computer programmer by trade but flying is in my blood. Both my mom and dad were WWII era
pilots and I grew up among Flying magazines, gatherings of pilots, and hours at the airport
from as far back into the 50s as I can remember. Mom taught me alot about flying in the right
seat, she taught the cadets at Embry-Riddle so she is a natural.
I really enjoy listening to ATC Live and all the activity around KBOS. Thanks to all who
contribute the feeds and help me remember those special times in our little Cessna "Two To Tango".

I'm a Private Pilot, and have been since 1976. I like listening to atc, and find it is also a great learning tool 8-)I also enjoy the posts from young student pilots, before they go solo. brings it all back.my first solo was almost my last.I landed on a grass runway that crosses a paved runway(which is a little higher)and as I hit the bump from the paved rwy,I pushed the throttle in again .. got it stopped about ten feet from a fence.. took awhile for the leg to stop shaking..

I'm a rational non-violent student of the universe, currently pre-occupied with this chemtrail/contrail broohaha.  I was doing some surfing today and came accross this forum.  I also came accross http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KSLC which as some of you might be aware of.  I figured on days when I see a lot of "trails", I might try and identify some of the aircraft over me - whether they are truly commercial flights, or something more "sinister".  The above flight tracking sight is delayed by 5 or 10 minutes, so I was wondering if this is the best available ATC monitoring system for your armchair conspiracy buff, or is there something better?
Any contrail comments are welcome as well.

Love this place!

I hold Commercial/Multi/Instrument and A&P and currently own and fly a North American T-28 and Piper Geronimo twin. I enjoy teaching students on our ATC 610 flight simulator using the ATC LIVE.net feeds as a way to spark /keep interest in flying. I am writing new instrument approaches for Mexico and the MMUN feeds are very critical to the approaches in a sense they make it all seem real! Thanks for the website! 8-

Scott

I occasionally listen to the audio site to track my  family's airline movements in real time (assuming their DEPT/ARR airports are online).

I retired last year as an Airline Pilot after 25 years of service and flew jets for almost 33 years. I have flown or am type rated in most of the modern Boeing and Airbus family of jets both internationally and domestically. I was a USAF/ANG pilot for about 10 years as well.

Nice site overall!

I'm just a nervous flyer but also curious to know things. I love to watch Watch Air traffic live and listen Live Atc.net commands from Warsaw tower. Sometimes I listen other airports. Anyway it is fun and let me realize that all this flying is as normal as going on the bus or so. Regards to all.

Was very pleasantly surprised to find this site! I've been listening to ATC radio since 25 years now and never thought to check it out on the Internet until recently. I travelled a lot through Europe back then and picked up a pocket FM/Air radio locally. I found myself listening to the airband almost as much as the local jazz and rock FM, maybe because of the laid back English chatter that reminded me of home and was somehow relaxing. It's great to hear this stuff now on the Internet too and to know there's a whole lot of other folk from all walks who appreciate it as well!

Hi everyone,
I'm a professional pilot and need to perform the European FCL 1.028 ranking test. So this site is very useful to train myself listening to American and Canadian traffics (mainly, European ones are easier to understand...)
Thanks for this very good experience sharing site.

I was a computer tech (AFSC 30554) in the Air Force. My first assignment out of tech school in 1975 was at Cody Hall, maintaining the ATC RAPCON simulator when it was brand new and totally a "one of".  I'd always been interested in science and was a ham radio enthusiast as a child during the 50's and 60's. I retired from the computer industry in 1998 and live in a hi-rise just west of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The final to CLE is visible from my window. It's addictive!

Hey everybody,

I am a emt and my wife is also in the medical field (BS in MA)...Hoping to get all the training to be a Flight Medic/Nurse...My Wife and I have listened to this site for a very long time and we now are putting KBAK on line just waiting on Dave to make it live. My wife and I are getting ready to get our Tech Ham radio license (we hope wish us luck for March 9th 2011) I am wanting to go and get my private Pilots license and I am pretty sure that I am going to take next semester off to do some flight training (figure if I have a pilots license with Helicopter and Comm. endorsements after I get my RN I will be more likely to be pulled into a flight Medic/RN position). I also love to work with my hands so I might get my A&P cert since it doesnt take to long at a local college and I can do it at night. So I guess I am one of those people who have a lot of things on there plate if I get it all great if not its good to have dreams right.  I mean what can you expect from a family who is getting ready to have there first child (besides my daughter from a previous marriage) and naming him Joshua Royce Allen ****. Hey Royce makes the best engines IMO.... LOL.  But all and all I love the site. I had to change partners on the rig because he got tired of listening to live atc on the computer in the rig when we was waiting on runs!!!!!! Well I have ran my mouth long enough....Thanks everyone who has made this site possible!!!!!!

I am a student pilot and lifelong aviation enthusiast.  In the poll I checked the box for News Media because I am an Aerial Photojournalist based in Detroit.  I operate a FLIR HD camera nose-mounted on a Eurocopter A-350BII.  We provide the aerial footage for the three network affiliates in Detroit.  I would say that I use this site mainly for personal use.

I am a wannabe pilot...and I enjoy listening to the ATC communications.  I find it a great learning tool.  I wish I had the money to enroll in flight training, but alas, I don't  :(  But I like listening to and reading what all you real pilots and controllers have to say!!  Speaking of which, is there anyone living near the Canadian north that might be able to pick up a feed from Yellowknife, NWT?  There is a show on the Canadian History Channel (I am A canuck) called "Ice Pilots:NWT" and its about Buffalo Airlines who fly supply lines to the remote Northern communities in the Canadian North.  Its REALLY interesting and I would love to be able to hear the pilot communications...Let me know if anyone has or knows of a feed up there!

I have always been interested in airplanes, grew up on the coast and always saw airlines and Coast Guard flying over.  I eventually joined the Coast Guard, and now I travel for work A LOT and flight, ATC, etc. all interests me a great deal.  :)

Been listening to scanners since I was a teenager ... had scanner ntennas on my first car which got me pulled over more than once by the local cops (I already had a questionable reputation in town). I live next to a small muncipal airport and am under one of the approach paths.

I have always had a great interest in aviation. My first word was airplane. Forward ahead a few years, joined the military to be an air traffic controller. I've been doing ATC now for about 2 and a half years.
