TIA says at 10:52 a.m. the pilot of a KC-135 refueler aircraft that had just taken off from MacDill Air Force Base requested an emergency landing, reporting smoke in the cockpit.

The aircraft landed safely on the airport's east side runway with no reported injuries. All 19 crew members have been transported to MacDill.
