« on: January 20, 2009, 02:05:40 PM »
What feeds should we be listening to to get a wiff of SAM 28000 on it's way to Texas? Anybody catch anything interesting in and around Washington during the hoopla today?

I think they are flying into Midland, TX.  I have been listening to some of the DC area frequencies but haven't heard them.

To my knowledge, we didn't. Assuming SAM28000 flew out of KADW, they would have been handed to Potomac Departure on 125.65 or 124.0 (those are the freqs, at least according to Airnav). None of the Potomac feeds, the BWI super feed, IAD, or DCA have those frequencies listed as covered on their feeds. :(

A friend of mine in area 4 at ZID said he worked the flight the other day.  I'll have to ask him what sector and what time.  It's possible it's on my ZID high altitude feed.
