brand new feed

hey gang!

i am brand new to this forum thing, but just wanted to let you know that KCID is now on the air!

within the last few years, they had a naming contest for the 'cedar rapids air port', but the best someone could come up with was "the eastern iowa airport".  My theory is they just didn't like the word the initials spelled out (CRAP).  just my guess though.

i hope to have some pictures of my setup soon.  It isn't anything fancy and i get good reception with the built-in antenna.  Of course it helps being 4 miles from the airport too.

i am also hoping ot learn a lot about streaming audio and hope to use another computer just sitting here to stream whatever is going through the computer at the time to a server i maintain soon.

If I ever get time to make it to Radio Shack, I will be buying a few pieces of equipment to try and set up a DSM feed. I'm not sure how well I will receive since I live on the North side of town, but if it's good enough to feed, I plan on doing so.
