Getting the right audio cable
« on: March 06, 2006, 02:35:56 PM »
Hey, I've searched, googled, yahooed, whatever, but still can't find the right audio cable I am looking for...  the FAQs say:

audio cable to connect scanner to PC's sound card
typically 1/8" to 1/8" stereo cable with mono or stereo plugs.

When I call radio shack or whomever, nobody seems to know what I am talking about and I get the "just bring it in" routine...   anyone with any knowledge as to what I should be looking for?   I will be running tests for O'Hare feeds and the scanner I am going to use is a radio shack pro 2015,  and an ICOM handheld...

The  ICOM handheld has two holes at the top, one for mic and one for headphones....  there is also a hole on the side for the DC cable....

I appreciate anyone's help, and wish me luck.  I am about to "bring it in" and see what they got...
