ZDC 120.975
« on: March 15, 2016, 10:23:59 AM »
I was listening to a feed elsewhere and it seems that ZDC HIGH 120.975 has been replaced with 132.55(old low sector north of ORF). Anyone have information on what replaced 132.55 as the low frequency for the LOW sector north of ORF ?

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up, first time I've heard this.

You can hear handoffs into this low sector (ZDC23) from ORF departure on the ORF LiveATC radio, heard a flight an hour ago get the handoff to 132.55 which seems to indicate they have the low and high sectors combined and are using 132.55 as the primary for both ?

On the LiveATC ZNY ATL86/ZDC SIE54 radio there is good controller reception on 133.125 that hands off into those two high ZDC sectors. Just checking now they are handing off to 132.55 (was 120.975, ZDC54, FL340 and below) and 135.275 (was 121.375, ZDC39, FL350 and above).

This is the first time I've heard ZDC use 135.275 and don't see it listed in any databases ?

Apparently another Change with ZDC is that 132.525/125.45 is now using 134.025

Saturday morning (around 1500 UTC) they were back to aircraft on 120.97 (FL240 to FL340) and at the time the sector was still combined with the low sector on 132.55 and the two frequencies were cross-coupled. Also all aircraft back on 125.45 while the same controller was still simulcasting on 134.02, the two frequencies were not cross-coupled at the time. Didn't hear anything on 135.275.

As of right now (0226Z), 132.55 is again being used in place of 120.97 and possibly 121.37 also? Still trying to confirm that.  I've added this frequency to the  JFK2 radio for now...

A Jetblue flight was just handed off to 132.55 at FL380 so it would appear that it's being used in place of both 120.97 and 121.37.....
