scanner to PC cable

I am looking into opening a feed for Allentown(KABE) APP/DEP and I need help with how to connect my scanner to my PC.

I found this on radio shacks website:

would this connect my scanner to my PC's sound card?

Michael,

You would want to purchase a 1/8" to 1/8" audio cable so that you can connect the audio output of your scanner to the line-in jack on your computer.  You'd want something like this, although they do make similar products in heavier material and longer lengths.
