Looking for opinions on ARTCC Maps
« on: January 12, 2007, 01:22:12 PM »
Seeing that every once in a while someone posts about a particular sector's frequency assignment. Sometimes one can find one facilities information, but not others. So since I have all these FAA documents sitting around I figured I'd put them to use so people can learn the real sector names and match it to a frequency. What I would like to get are some opinions on what should be included, now as you can see some of these sectors are so small I can just barely squeeze the sector name in let alone other stuff. But I can also create a secondary page to go along with it.

ZFW High Sectors

ZAB High Sectors

So before I do any others. I just want to know what people would think would make them better.

Not bad!!

If it helps, have a look at http://www.freqofnature.com/index.php?m=Aviation%20Monitoring. This should help you out a lot. I don't think the frequencies have changed on them much, But you should have more names for the sectors. Either way, this should help.

Thanks Brad, actually Im using the SOPs. His information being outdated and scattered sector names and frequencies made it hard to make matches. That was all the reason why I decided to pursue doing new maps.

Yea I think I can whip a ZDC one together tonight. There is already a nice one for ZBW under the Boston Center feeds. I guess I'll check everything to see if those are still up to date.

Ed I have Dave checking if he can get me JAX AND MIA ARTCC maps but if you can beat him to it it would be greatly appreciated since I plan to move to FLL in the future.

I think it's a fantastic idea....  The basic data should include the primary VHF freq (and alternates if known), sector name & number.  Just like the one's you posted earlier in this thread.   I would very much like this information!  Maybe Dave here can designate some space specifically for them?
