I just got home, and noticed the feed has been buffering every minute for the last 15 minutes. Has it been doing that all day? I'm very sorry for any inconvience to anyone and I will try to get this fixed tonight.

EDIT: Ok, feed keeps disconnecting and buffering. It's comin down for the night, Sorry  Sad

Ed - Occasionally that happens to me.  When I restart and then start the feed it takes a few minutes to get up.  Happens on occasion for me.  Probably on your internet connection end of things.

Dave can enlighten our brains into a more detailed description if time permits.

I know this an old thread, but I'm new here and reading it for the first time.  I work in Area D at ZNY and you guys are pretty close on most of this stuff.  Let me answer a few things I saw in here.

133.5 is sector 74's freq and it's terrible.  We use 128.5 a lot as the backup when they're working on 133.5.  It's a backup freq for the whole area, but we use it mostly at 74.

124.625 (sector 92) is only combined up with 134.8/123.625/124.9 (sector 93) on the midnight shifts or when it's really slow.  Usually it combines up at 8:30 pm or so.

Sector 74 gets combined up with 92 sometimes in the late morning/early afternoon if it's slow.  At night it's the last low altitude sector to combine up around 10:30 or 11.

Sector 92 doesn't give a lot of traffic to sector 51 because it puts them head-on to the PHL jet arrivals around Wilkes-Barre.  I would guess that 50 and 51 are combined less than half the time.

133.17 is a back-up freq for Area A.  They used it for a long time at sector 26 when they were having trouble with 133.67.

ABE departures westbound go from 92 to 93 if they're staying below flight levels and 92 to 73 (132.875) if they're requesting FL180 or above.

If you guys could listen to 132.875 or 134.8/124.9 it would probably be more interesting than 124.625.  We know you're out there, but we're not sure why.

Sweet nice to have someone from D, welcome aboard. Do you know the Steins? I know their son, Ethan. I have to go so I will write another reply to the info you posted later.

Sure, I've known the Steins for about 20 years.  And I was in Oklahoma with Carl, the "Welcome Aboard" guy.

I gave out this user name and password to a few guys in the Area, so there's is more than one of us using it.  We're waiting for the feed to be back up so we can make a few comments for you to listen to.

I could have sworn that 92 combined up with 74 like everynight. I always hear 92 running MIP3, and FQM1. 92 isn't the greatest sector, but I'll tell you the same thing I told the B guys. You want me to feed other sectors, get the transmitters moved to Flint Hill or Lansdale, Pa  Tongue If I could, I would feed all the ZNY sectors with ATC, that would be a kickass feed.  Thanks for the info about 133.17, I had Ethan ask his parents and they weren't sure. I figured it was a backup for LRP26, cause after they started using 33.67 again, 33.17 was never to be heard again. Why don't you get the other guys to join with different names, so then we know who's who. Use your OI's  Cheesy

Take it easy,

A few of the guys are thinking about registering.  I gave them this user name so they could listen to clips without registering.  For now, we like being anonymous since you guys wouldn't know our operating initials anyway.  Boy, if only you could hear the cross talk in the area or what's on the land-lines.  That's where the real entertainment is.

I bet it is!  I always love hearing you guys press the wrong button and give the pointouts and handoff's on the freq.  Provides us listeners chained to our computers <g> (J/K, we love this stuff on the computer) with entertainment for the moment.

Hope things are going well; tell the guys we appreciate all of their posts and visits to the site and forums!

Tell me about it, I love landline talk. I think thats one of the best parts. Why do you think I post landline clips whenever I can! I wish they ran of frequencies.

We were talking last night about how we wish we had clips of some of the greatest clearances we've ever heard.  Things like "Descend like a piano.  Make the houses look bigger."  "The only way you're getting lower is with a parachute."  Another time someone gave a descent clearance and the co-pilot said the captain wanted to stay at FL370.  The controller came back with "The captain can stay there, but you and the rest of the plane start down now."  Nobody remembers who said it anymore, but it should be in the Hall of Fame.  Trainee excuses like "I was just about to do that when you took the frequency from me"  and "Well, it worked yesterday"  would be another good category.
