Looking for some enroute center recordings
« on: November 24, 2013, 02:24:05 PM »
Hi All,

I am looking for some enrout center recordings to play as background during my Virtual airline flights--I have done well with the GND,TWR, and APP DEP recordings but can not seem to find any enrote stuff anywhere--I hope someone can help point me in the right direction!

Cheers

There are quite a few ARTCC feeds on the site. Most feeds have a 30 day archive from which you can download the audio. The one I host is the Salt Lake Center zlc_slc feed. Here is a link to the archives for that one: http://www.liveatc.net/archive.php?m=zlc_slc

Like bbrasmussen said, there are quite a few enroute center feeds available to listen to. One way to find them is search for them. For example, to search for New York Center feeds go to the liveatc home page, search using "zny". For Boston Center use "zbw", for Washington use "zdc", etc. You'll have quite a bit to choose from :)

The CYOW Feed (Ottawa, Ontario Canada) has a Montreal Centre frequency that is monitored in conjunction with Tower/Ground/Clearance/Terminal. That frequency is 124.275, but is (for some strange reason) labelled as "Ottawa Terminal". Conversation on frequency 135.2 can also heard.

After 10pm ET (rough estimate), Montreal Centre's frequencies 126.575 and 134.975 is also in the mix.

Hey Dorn,

Sorry should have added this before...of the six feeds I have, this one from Boston Center would also be a good one to listen to.  You can hear both sides of the conversation and there's a lot of international traffic inbound/outbound from KJFK (depending on the time of day) as well as plenty of international overflights.
