I did my ppl training in the round gauge airplane. Now my instrument i am doing in a g1000; do i need a g1000 logbook endorsement or anything. My instructor is on a trip and i did not want to bother him with that dumb question while he is away flying.

Airmet Tango for moderate turbulence and an Airmet Sierra for IFR conditions? Well all that means is put your cowboy hat on and lets go flying.

No, there are no endorsements legally required by the FAA to operate an aircraft with a G1000 installed, but many flight schools require a checkout and put a small endorsement in the remarks section of the line in your logbook.
