Wow! after all these years I didnt even know about this place! I will introduce myself to this community and I have been a licensed Pilot since I was 19 years of age and I'm now 30. I flew with Forestry in the interior of British Columbia searching for forest fires and chasing lightning storms! We had much fun doing this and I must say valuable flight experience navigating BC mountains and weather! Wow turbulence! chasing lightning is hard on the kidneys! and the airframe! Hahaha! I have many pictures and here is one of them over Kokanee Glacier http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=00856276&size=medium
Anyways, I would like to hear from anyone who flies in the interior or in all of BC! and please dont hesitate to email me with questions about flying in the interior as I do have much experience around here.
I am lucky to have grown up here and learned to fly here. I couldnt ask for a better playground to learn in and chasing lightning was probably one of the most exhilarating activities I have ever done, lol. My dream is to start my own little charter service and a Medevac service for the interior of BC with a Pilatus PC-12. They are a beautiful plane and perfect for a mountainess place like British Columbia. Have a good one and fly straight!
