I hope this hasn't been posted already. I just saw this today. 737 touching down halfway down what is already a short runway.

Hot brakes, anyone?

Looks like that video was touched up a little.  It is a USAirways paint scheme, with no logos.

That airport looks interesting to fly into.  I'm hesitant to use the word "fun", but definitely challenging

WOW!!  shocked  Talk about ground effect! He's lucky he didn't wind up on the other side of the perimeter fence!

I've seen other vids from this airport. Pretty crazy approach! Ranks right up there with Kai Tak!!

Here is one of an American B757 thats pretty good too!

At least the American B757 one did not have me thinking "Oh, s**t!!"

If I lived near an airport like that (little runway, big jets), I would also be camped out there on the hill on a regular basis.

I have seen lots of Kai Tak ones. That doesn't take "A game". That takes "A+++game". Whew.

It is actually a flight being operated by the US Justice Department, used to return deportees. It is an ex US 733, N501UW.

More info here.

Haha, I think the best bet would be to move that silly mountain in the way.  Who would construct a mountain right next to an airport anyway

Very stupid.. should have been a go around

Surprised you didn't hear about this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TACA_Flight_390

He wasn't quite as lucky. They were suppose to move all civil operations to an established military base with a longer runway but the military was put in charge or building the civil air terminal and with the recent coup that Honduras had last year who know if that ever got done.
